I got the pasta with kalamatas and spinach and it was delicious. Freshly baked bread in house! Overall good service the server just seemed a little dead inside. No biggie. Maybe put crushed red pepper on the table but the mozzarella fritti was fire!! Very well plated and excellent texture, nothing out of whack. Oh also Caesar salad was a little too mustardy

First time for us at Giambancos. You'll never drive past here and see the place, it's hidden behind a parallel strip mall closer to 360 in Mechanicsville. This was literally the best Italian meal we've had in the area. The Antipasta Rustico was very tasty, with eggplant, roasted red pepper and mozzarella. The balsamic on it really made it nice. We tried a Margherita Pizza with the Pomodoro Sauce and we found the flavors amazing! The only thing better would be if it were cooked more "well", could be a personal preference, everyone has their own ideas on what they like in a pizza. The sauce was so unique tasting, it was hard to put my finger on it, but it was fantastic. The dough is fresh made, you could tell. The bread/butter before the meal was fresh baked, and it was by far the best bread I've had in VA. I would return just for the bread if they would let me. We also tried the Chicken Parmesan dinner and it was right on point. The chicken was cooked perfectly, lots of cheese and their tomato sauce was delicious. Now about the drinks, they have a really full menu of martinis and margaritas, we were surprised at the selection. We tried the chocolate martini and the lemon drop. I'd be lying if I said my fiancee' wasn't working at getting every ounce of chocolate out of that glass! And the lemon drop was a perfect balance of the lemon flavor with the sugared rim. Really enjoyed the drinks. Our bill was probably 60/40 drinks/food. The prices are really reasonable for the flavor and quality. You can probably find cheaper food out there, but you won't find a better proposition between the friendly waitstaff, quality/taste and prices. The ending of the night was splitting their Godfather Brownie. Don't walk, run there to get it! The brownie is actually more like lava cake, paired with a coffee flavored ice cream. Do not pass this up. Take your meal home with you and eat the brownie. And thank me later.

What a lasting impression!!! Service was A1 and the food was even better. Everyone was so nice. The restaurant was very clean and even the bathrooms were clean. The food was good Everything was seasoned so well. I am happy that I stopped in here I would definitely come back.

July 2022 update: another great lunch! Tried a different appetizer and a Sicilian pizza..both were really good. Isabella was wonderful! June 2022:My wife and I had lunch here earlier today. Bottom Line: great meal. Donna took care of us..friendly, professional and timely! Appetizers and mains were made from scratch (including some incredible bread), and huge portions! Absolutely recommend this restaurant when you’re in the area - you’ll be very happy with your decision.

First time visit to this establishment. Clean restaurant, great service, nice atmosphere with good food and drinks.

Got a mixed up order. Hudson handled it with Grace and great customer service. I appreciate it. Great pizza!

We held my daughters rehearsal dinner at Giambancos this past weekend. We had about 80ish people and the staff was amazing and prepared. We did a limited entree menu and preselected appetizers and all the food was on point and served very timely. We also purchased the Giambancos Sangiovese for the wedding and late night pizzas for the wedding night that were delivered well ahead of time. The wine was gone in no time it's so good. Thanks so much to the staff of Giambancos for taking such good care is us on a special weekend.

My wife had been here once on a girls night out. She suggested our family give this a try. First, this is not you regular "pizza joint" though they do serve pizza. Upon entering I could tell this place was different by looking at how professional the wait staff was dressed. We were seated promptly. Our waiter, Brandon, knew the menus well and took our drink orders. Wife and I had beer my son had what they called a Fireball Margarita which was made with Tequila and Fireball Whiskey which I thought was a bad combination until I tasted it. Highly recommend it! Brandon came to take our order and I had questions about some of the food because of my allgeries. What he didn't know he left to ask and promptly came back to let me know. We ordered the Tomato Brushetta for an appetizer so I could decide what I wanted to order. It came out quickly and looked amazing! We gave our order with my wife having the Spaghetti with Caesar Salad and baked potato, son having the Calzone and me the Seafood Salad adding black olives. We were served these amazing rolls prior to the food which came out all at one time, was hot and was amazing presentation and taste wise. Brando was very tentative making sure everything was OK. My wife and son got to go boxes because the portions are worth the price of food. Upon asking if we wanted dessert my son chose to tackle the cheese cake with a strawberry glaze which was huge. He could not eat it all taking half in his to go box. In ending this I want to say this place is more than a restaurant. For me it was an experience. I have never been to Italy but this is what I would expect in a place if I were to go there. I don't want to say it's fine dining but is more upscale on presentation. You don't have to get all dressed up to enjoy what they have to offer in their quality of food and experience. I will definitely be back to try other dishes. Oh and just to mention though we did not try, they do have a Tap Room.
